1. EE Community Update
Last month marked the beginning of a series of promotions expressing
our thanks and appreciation for our experts and the community. The
Thank You Top 100 RealExperts gift was a huge success and we will begin
shipping gifts this month. The best part of the promotion for us was
getting those great compliments from all of the RealExperts that
received prizes.
But the promotions don't stop there. Now all members get the chance to
win prizes through the Tell-a-Friend promotion. Get started now:
http://www.experts-exchange.com/info/TellAFriend.html
Also, be sure to be on the look out next week for another chance to
participate and win, just by being an expert! All experts are eligible
and the more questions you answer, the more chances you have to win the
coolest prizes.
2. New Topic Area: Windows 2000
With Microsoft's recent release of Windows 2000, it is no wonder that
our new Windows 2000 topic area is the place to be. Check it out for
yourself at

3. EE's Newest Face
Experts Exchange adds more talent to its team with the addition of Jack
Lyon as our Director of Community Development. Before coming to EE, Mr.
Lyon was the Director of CNET, Computers.com, a leading site for
computer product reviews, how-tos and prices. Prior to that, Jack was a
product manager at Sun Microsystems, and was involved in launching one
of the industry's first Internet set-top boxes. He was also Reviews
Editor at the award winning PC Computing magazine. Jack has some really
great ideas and we can't wait to start implementing them. Please join
us in a warm welcome to Jack.
4. What's New on EE?
Ever wish you could only look at the questions with the highest points,
newest postings, or alphabetically obtain the titles of questions? Now
you can. Our engineers developed a sorting feature that allows members
to display questions by date, points, title, and member.
Simply go to the topic area of your choice, and click on the blue
column headers that appear at the top of all questions. Look for the
new listing after your screen refreshes. For example, if you went to
the Linux Networking topic area at
http://www.experts-exchange.com/Computers/Networking/Linux/ and
clicked the "pts" (points) header, all questions within that topic area
will be sorted by the highest points to the least.
5. Am I a RealExpert?
Experts Exchange uses the phrase RealExpert to describe the thousands
of experts who participate in solving real-world questions on Experts
Exchange. Degrees, certificates, and work experience are traditional
indicators of expertise, but on EE it is a person's ability to solve
tough problems by supplying the correct answer and applying it to real
world situations that makes you a RealExperts! Being recognized with
this ability is by far better than any certificate you can earn. Be a
RealExpert by registering today and be a part of the Internet's largest
network of qualified experts:
http://www.experts-exchange.com/bin/InputExpert.
