Ultimately, Experts Exchange is about helping people find solutions. This year's Author of the Year produced only seven articles, but four of them accounted for nearly ten per cent of all of the "Helpful" votes cast for articles written in 2011, and four of the top eight spots on the Helpful list. By edging out three great producers -- matthewspatrick (20 articles), harfang (18) and Ray_Paseur (14) -- and his colleague, rpggamergirl (who had three of the top eight article "Helpful" vote totals), younghv is the 2011 Author of the Year.
 

Lunchy

For over a decade, Lunchy has been making his mark on Experts Exchange, both as an Expert, where he has consistently been near the top of our "Sniper" awards for having a high percentage of awarded posts, but more profoundly as a Moderator. His calm, consistent demeanor is the prototype after whom the entire Moderator team is modeled; his CSToolkit -- originally developed at least three versions of EE ago -- has made it possible for a relatively small group of people to manage the needs of hundreds of thousands of users, and saved EE countless hours of development.
